The climate of Tyler (Texas - United States of America)
Tyler is a large city located in the northeastern part of the state of Texas in Smith County. The city was named after the 10th president of the United States, John Tyler. The University of Texas at Tyler and the University of Texas Health Center at Tyler can be found in the city. The largest rose garden in the United States can be found in Tyler. This is also why the city is known as ‘Rose Capital of the Nation’. Tyler has a warm maritime climate with warm to hot summers and cool but pleasant winters. Average precipitation figures are fairly high. If average temperatures were slightly higher the climate would be classified as a tropical rainforest climate. during the warmest days of summer humidity figures are high. Tyler is located at the edge of Tornado Alley so there is a small risk of tornadoes.
