The climate of Moab (Utah
- United States of America)
Moab is a village located in the eastern part of the state of Utah in
Canyon County. The village is very popular among tourists because of
the many parks which are situated in the vicinity. Arches National
Park is situated here. In this park the famous Delicate Arch can be
admired. This arch is 16 meters high and is one of the most famous
arches in the world. Delicate Arch is one of the main attractions in
Utah. Mountain biking, mountaineering, rafting and kayaking are
popular activities here. You can also rent a 4x4 to explore the
region. Moab has a cold steppe climate with low annual precipitation
figures. Winters are cold with longer periods with subzero
temperatures (during the night). During the summer the sun shines
exuberantly. During the summer temperatures rise far above 30 degrees
Celsius (86 degrees Fahrenheit). Because of low precipitation figures
the climate has characteristics of a cold desert climate.

More climate information
Climate figures are very useful but don’t present a general impression
of the climate and the eventual weather circumstances within a certain
period. The figures don’t always reflect the chance of wintry weather,
extreme heat or hurricanes. That is why we offer useful extra climate
information for each month of the year:
