The climate of Walla Walla (Washington - United States of America)
Walla Walla is a medium sized city located in the southern part of the state of Washington in the vicinity of the border with the state of Oregon. Walla Walla is located in Walla Walla County. The main sources of income are agriculture and winegrowing. The region is known for its excellent wines. Mainly Syrah and Merlot wines are produced here. Because of its location in the north subzero temperatures are not uncommon. This may damage the harvest in such a way it cannot be used anymore.
Walla Walla has a Mediterranean climate with most precipitation during the winter. Summers are pleasant, during the day temperatures may reach tropical values. During the summer precipitation figures are lowest. During the winter subzero temperatures (during the night) are not uncommon and precipitation may fall in the form of sleet or snow.

More climate information
Climate figures are very useful but don’t present a general impression of the climate and the eventual weather circumstances within a certain period. The figures don’t always reflect the chance of wintry weather, extreme heat or hurricanes. That is why we offer useful extra climate information for each month of the year:
