The climate of Ras al Khaimah (United Arab Emirates)
The emirate of Ras al Khaimah has a desert climate with relatively dry and warm winters and very dry and hot summers. Ras al Khaimah gets a little more rain than the better known emirates of Dubai and Abu Dhabi. This is mostly caused by the mountains on the south side of the city. During the summer months temperatures are very high. Combined with relatively high humidity figures this makes for a muggy feel and causes you to sweat a lot.
