The climate of Livingstone (Zambia)
Livingstone is located in the southwestern part of Zambia in the vicinity of the border with Zimbabwe in the Eastern province. Livingstone is also located in the vicinity of the borders with Botswana and Namibia. The city was named after the British explorer David Livingstone. The widest waterfalls in Africa, the Victoria Falls are in the vicinity. Mosi-oa-Tunya National Park is also in the vicinity and is very popular for its safaris. Livingstone has a warm steppe climate. Precipitation figures are slightly lower here than in the more northerly located places in the country. However, Livingstone still has a distinct wet and a distinct dry season. Daytime temperatures are just above 30 degrees Celsius on average.
