The climate of Bahía Blanca (Argentina)
Bahía Blanca is located on the east coast of Argentina on the Pacific. Bahía Blanca is situated in the Buenos Aires province. The Pampas are in the vicinity of Bahía Blanca. From the city the typical Patagonian landscape with its sand dunes and hills can already be seen. Bahía Blanca is an important port specialized in the processing of wool, cereals and oil from the neighboring province of Neugeún. The city also has an important railroad junction. Bahía Blanca has a moderate climate with distinct seasons.
Summers are warm and pleasant. Temperatures are being moderated here because of its situation on the coast. This makes extreme heat uncommon. Winters are cold but never too cold. Subzero temperatures are uncommon. Land winds also have an influence on Bahía Blanca’s climate. Especially the Pampero that blows from the south west can cause great temperature fluctuations.

More climate information
Climate figures are very useful but don’t present a general impression of the climate and the eventual weather circumstances within a certain period. The figures don’t always reflect the chance of wintry weather, extreme heat or hurricanes. That is why we offer useful extra climate information for each month of the year:
