The climate of Rosario (Argentina)
Rosario is located in the south eastern part of Argentina in the Santa Fe province on the banks of the Paraná River. Rosario is one of the largest cities in Argentina. Rosario is situated on the Pampa. A flat grassy area of 60,000 square kilometres that covers parts of Uruguay, Brazil and Argentina. One of the most beautiful buildings is the Our Lady of the Rosary Basilica. The Correo Argentino also is very much worth visiting.
Rosario is situated in a moderate climate zone; its situation on the Pampa has a great influence on its climate. In this region the climate is also referred to as the Pampa climate. Winters are short and vary from cold to mild. Most of the rain falls during the summer. In combination with temperatures above 30 degrees Celsius this may give rise to high humidity figures. Snow is uncommon; during the entire previous century it only snowed twice. During late summer the water level of the river may rise and flood lower parts of the city.

More climate information
Climate figures are very useful but don’t present a general impression of the climate and the eventual weather circumstances within a certain period. The figures don’t always reflect the chance of wintry weather, extreme heat or hurricanes. That is why we offer useful extra climate information for each month of the year:
