The climate of Broome (Australia)
Broome is an exotic pearl-fishers town on Australia’s northwest coast. The city is very remote and only exists because of the precious pearls. A telegraph cable that connected Australia with England used to land at Broome’s beach. This is why the beach was known as Cable Beach. Besides your own footprints in the sand you can also find a dinosaur’s footprint when the tide is out. Because of the location of Broome many Asian colonists traveled here. Together with its Chinatown this gives Broome a pleasant multicultural ambience. During the summer Australia’s north coast can be battered by cyclones, here also known as Willy Willy’s. Broome has a tropical climate with high humidity during the summers. The temperature of the sea is about 28 degrees Centigrade. Winter is the best time to visit this place because it is driest then. During the summer there is a rainy season.

More climate information
Climate figures are very useful but don’t present a general impression of the climate and the eventual weather circumstances within a certain period. The figures don’t always reflect the chance of wintry weather, extreme heat or hurricanes. That is why we offer useful extra climate information for each month of the year:
