The climate of Gold Coast (Australia)
Gold Coast is located in the eastern part of Australia in the state of Queensland. Gold Coast is virtually adjoins the state boundary with New South Wales. In and around the city there are about 57 kilometers of coast line with a few of the most popular surfing spots in Australia. About ten million tourists visit Gold Coast each year. Most tourists visit Gold Coast because of the beautiful beaches and the many theme parks in the vicinity. Almost every big theme park has an auxiliary branch here.
The warm sea climate also lures many tourists. Summers are warm and wet and winters are mild and relatively dry. During the summer humidity may rise. During the summer months it may rain quite a lot. However, Gold Coast enjoys more than 300 sunny days a year. Just as in the rest of Australia seasons are opposite of ours.

More climate information
Climate figures are very useful but don’t present a general impression of the climate and the eventual weather circumstances within a certain period. The figures don’t always reflect the chance of wintry weather, extreme heat or hurricanes. That is why we offer useful extra climate information for each month of the year:
