The climate of Speightstown (Barbados)
Speightstown is the second largest city in Barbados. It is a lively
city with many kiosks and shops in which the locals try to sell their
products. The city has a relaxed atmosphere and is less elegant than
other parts in Barbados. Since several years Speightstown has its own
marina in which you can moor your yacht to enjoy the nightlife.
Speightstown has a tropical savannah climateThe wet period lasts from
June to August. Some heavy rain storms may occur. Temperatures can
rise as high as 30 degrees Celsius. The remaining part of the year is
relatively dry (some rain may fall). Speigtstown is warm the whole
year round. A pleasant sea breeze from the Atlantic makes for pleasant
temperatures. During the second part of the year hurricanes and
tropical storms may occur.
