The climate of Sucre (Bolivia)
Sucre is the seat of the Bolivian government. The city was founded by the Spanish in the 16th century. Much of the old colonial charm can still be found in the narrow streets. The city is also the religious center for Bolivian Christians. Don’t be surprised when you run into members of several different orders in their robes. The old cathedral is well worth visiting. Sucre has a cold steppe climate with temperatures below 18 degrees Celsius on average all year round. Most of the rain falls during summer. This type of climate is a transitional climate between a tropical rainforest climate and a desert climate. Vegetation mainly consists of grasses and small plants here.
