The climate of Francistown (Botswana)
Francistown is one of the largest cities in Botswana. Francistown is located in the eastern part of the country in the vicinity of the border with Zimbabwe. The city is among the oldest in the country and flourished during the time of the gold rush. Many abandoned mines can still be found in the vicinity of the city. Nowadays Francistown is a young, modern and multicultural city. Francistown has a warm steppe climate with little annual precipitation. However, during the first and the last months of the year precipitation figures are a bit higher. Days are warm to hot; nights may be reasonably cold. Subzero temperatures may occur.
