The climate of Ghanzi (Botswana)
Ghanzi is located in the central western part of Botswana in the
Ghanzi district of which it is also the capital. Many tourists who
travel to the Okavango delta make a stopover in Ghanzi. The water in
this delta ultimately flows into the Kalahari desert. Moromi National
Reserve is in the vicinity. Several shops can be found in Ghanzi.
Ghanzi also has a bank with an ATM, which is quite rare in this part
of Botswana. Ghanzi has a warm steppe climate which is characterized
by high temperatures and moderate precipitation figures. Days are warm
to hot; nights can be very cold. There is not much precipitation the
year round. The rain that does fall mostly falls during summer.
