The climate of Kasane (Botswana)
Kasane is a large village in the most northern part of Botswana, close
to Africa's 'Four Corners', where four countries almost meet:
Botswana, Namibia, Zambia and Zimbabwe. Chobe National Reserve is in
the vicinity. Because of this a reasonable amount of tourists visit
Kasane, most of them stay in one of the lodges that were built just
outside the village. Kasane has a tropical steppe climate with
slightly higher temperatures than in other places in Botswana. Kasane
also gets a little more precipitation. However, this region also has a
dry period. The period with precipitation is from November till March.
