The climate of Quepos (Costa Rica)
Quepos is located on the west coast of Costa Rica on the Pacific Ocean and is surrounded by tropical rainforests. Because Quepos is located at the edge of the Manuel Antonio National Park the city is very popular among eco tourists. To prevent mass tourism there is a limit to the amount of tourists that are allowed in this area. The main source of income for this port used to be the cultivation of bananas. Nowadays tourism is the main source of income. In the center several cosy streets with bars and restaurants can be found. During the dry season there are many festivals in Quepos. Quepos has a tropical climate with a long rainy season. Precipitation figures are slightly lower during the first few months of the year, the rest of the year is fairly wet. Temperatures are pleasant all year round. During the rainy season humidity figures may rise to unpleasant levels.

More climate information
Climate figures are very useful but don’t present a general impression of the climate and the eventual weather circumstances within a certain period. The figures don’t always reflect the chance of wintry weather, extreme heat or hurricanes. That is why we offer useful extra climate information for each month of the year:
