The climate of Polis (Cyprus)
Polis Chrysochous or Polis for short is located in the northwestern
part of Cyprus. Polis is located in the vicinity of the fishing
village of Latchi bordering the Akamas Peninsula Natural reserve.
Because Polis is situated at a higher altitude it offers a beautiful
view over the Chrysochou Bay. Polis mainly attracts eco-tourists
because the beaches and resorts are not as luxurious as in other
places. Here you can enjoy the authentic Cyprus. Just like the entire
island Polis has dry and warm summers and fairly mild winters with
precipitation. Because of its situation in the interior it is often
1-2 degrees warmer here than in the coastal areas. There is also less
influence of a cooling wind here.
