The climate of Ebeltoft (Denmark)
Ebeltoft is a small city located on the Mols Peninsula which is part
of the Djursland Peninsula. This peninsula forms the northeastern
part of Jutland. Prior to the municipal re-division Ebeltoft formed
its own municipality. Nowadays it is part of Syddjurs municipality.
Because of its beautiful beaches Ebeltoft is a popular tourist
attraction. The steam frigate Jylland lies at anchor in the port.
This frigate is also a popular attraction. The city is known for its
glasswork, a glass museum is situated in the city as well. Ebeltoft
has a moderate maritime climate influenced by both the North Sea and
the Kattegat. The climate here is not much different from that in
other regions in Denmark. Because of the influence of the seas
extremes are uncommon. Only when the seas surrounding the city
freeze temperatures may drop. Annual precipitation figures are low.
Precipitation that does fall is quite evenly spread out over the
year and mainly falls in the form of showers.

More climate information
Climate figures are very useful but don’t present a general impression
of the climate and the eventual weather circumstances within a certain
period. The figures don’t always reflect the chance of wintry weather,
extreme heat or hurricanes. That is why we offer useful extra climate
information for each month of the year:
