The climate of Randers (Denmark)
Randers is a medium sized city located in the northeastern part of the
Jutland Peninsula. Randers is the only natural port on a river in
Denmark. The Gudenåen River flows through the city which is also the
longest river in Denmark. Via this river goods are transported to
the cities of Viborg and Silkeborg. In the vicinity of the city
tropical Zoo Randers is situated. This zoo has the largest
artificial rainforest in Europe. There are also plans to realize the
largest indoor skiing center in the world. Randers has a moderate
maritime climate. Because of its location in the north it is
slightly cooler here than in the more southerly located cities in
Denmark. The climate of Randers is strongly influenced by the sea.
Because of this extremes in weather are uncommon. During the winter
daytime temperatures are just above freezing point. During the night
temperatures drop a few degrees below freezing point. Precipitation
is quite evenly spread out over the year.

More climate information
Climate figures are very useful but don’t present a general impression
of the climate and the eventual weather circumstances within a certain
period. The figures don’t always reflect the chance of wintry weather,
extreme heat or hurricanes. That is why we offer useful extra climate
information for each month of the year:
