The climate of Juan Dolio (Dominican Republic)
Juan Dolio is located in the southern part of the Dominican Republic between the cities of Santa Domingo and La Romana. Juan Dolio has always been a popular destination with tourists. During the early 90s when this region was discovered by project developers tourist numbers increased even more. One of the most popular attractions is the Metro Country Club Los Marlins Golf Course. This golf course has been developed by Charles Ankrom who has made it one of the most beautiful and challenging golf courses in the world. Juan Dolio has over 25 kilometers of beach. This region is perfect for diving and snorkeling. Whoever prefers dry feet can go horseback riding on the beach.
Juan Dolio has a tropical savannah climate. Almost all of the Caribbean has this type of climate. A tropical savannah climate can be divided into two seasons. The summer is very wet and very hot with high humidity figures. The winter is warm as well but precipitation figures are a lot lower which causes humidity figures to be lower as well. Bear in mind that tropical depressions and hurricanes may occur during the summer
