The climate of Takaroa (French Polynesia)
Takaroa is an elongated atoll in the Pacific. Geographically Takaroa
is part of the King George Islands (Iles du Roi Georges) subgroup
which is part of the Tuamotus Archipelago. In the beginning of the
17th century the islands were discovered by two Dutch explorers. The
island has a population of 1,000, most of whom live in the capital of
the island of Teavaroa. The island has an airport.
Takaroa has a
tropical rainforest climate with most precipitation during the local
summer. The rest of the year has high precipitation figures as well.
The daytime emperatures are around 30 degrees Celsius on average. Cold days are
uncommon. From December till June there is a risk of tropical storms
and hurricanes
