The climate of Mykonos (Greece)
Mykonos is a small island situated in the Aegean Sea. It is part of the Cycladic archipelago. The capital of the island is Mykonos, also known as Chora. Mykonos is a small island; almost all of its inhabitants live in the capital. This island is among the first that aimed for mass tourism. Nowadays it is a real party island. Each year many tourists come here to party. Mykonos’ beaches are among the most beautiful and most popular in the country. Many chapels and churches can be found on the island. Mykonos has a Mediterranean climate strongly influenced by the Aegean Sea. A constant sea breeze blows here because of its situation in the Aegean Sea. This breeze makes the hottest days somewhat more bearable. Winters are mild and pleasant but very wet. Summers are warm and very dry.
