The climate of Jodhpur (India)
Jodhpur is situated in the federal state of Rajasthan. Jodhpur had been fought for for years. Something that can still be seen very well in the old fortresses and walls of the town. The town is also called “the blue town”. This is because of the color of the houses built around the fortress. A visit to the marketplace in the old town is also very much worth while. In the narrow streets you imagine being completely back in time again.
The climate in Jodhpur is a warm steppe climate. This is a transitional climate between the tropical and the desert climate. It has high temperatures but as for the degree of humidity it is between these two climates. The rain falls in the monsoon period from June up to and including September. From October up to and including January it is a relatively dry and warm winter. The summer months are warm.
