The climate of Ouddorp (the Netherlands)
Ouddorp is located on the island of Goeree-Overflakkee in the province of South Holland. Ouddorp has always been a popular destination within the Netherlands. Since the beginning of the 20th century people have gone on daytrips to Ouddorp to enjoy the sun and the beach. Ouddorp has a very religious community. Bear in mind that most public places will be closed on Sundays. In the vicinity of Ouddorp the steam engine museum of the Rotterdamsche Tramweg (Tramway/Streetcar) Maatschappij (Rotterdam railway) can be visited. Several cycle tracks and footpaths start in Ouddorp. Ouddorp has a moderate maritime climate with pleasantly mild winters and cool and wet summers. Ouddorp gets slightly less rain than the eastern part of the country. The temperature of the sea is slightly lower here during the winter than in other coastal areas. During the summer the temperature of the sea is slightly higher.
