The climate of Ramallah (Palestinian Territories)
Ramallah is the unofficial capital of the Palestine Territories. The
headquarters of the Palestine Authority are situated in Ramallah as
well as the tomb of former political leader Yasser Arafat. Ramallah
has a warm Mediterranean climate with warm and dry summers and mild
winters. During the summer the sun shines exuberantly with daytime
temperatures of 30 degrees Celsius or even higher. Winters are mild
with daytime temperatures of 10-18 degrees Celsius. During the night
subzero temperatures may occur. During the winter snowfall is not
uncommon. However, when snow falls it often melts within 24 hours.
