The climate of Boquete (Panama)
Boquete is situated in the interior of Panama. The region is known for its coffee and citrus plantations and flower cultivation. Boquete is not a vibrant city, but has the atmosphere of a peaceful mountain village. Life here is quite simple with daily markets where local farmers can sell their products. The surroundings of Boquete are beautiful and ideal for active daytrips such as walking and rafting. A National Park is situated in the vicinity of the village; here you can go mountaineering. The volcano situated in this park has created about 7 craters. Boquete has a different climate than other cities in Panama because of its altitude. However, the climate can still be classified as tropical, especially where precipitation figures are concerned. Because of the altitude at which Boquete is situated temperatures are tempered. It is much colder on the top of the mountain.
