The climate of David (Panama)
David is located in the western part of Panama in the province of Chiriquí. The border with Costa Rica is about an hour away by car. David has been built on a large empty plain with little high vegetation. Because of this there is a lot of agriculture in the vicinity. Coffee and tobacco are the main commodities here. Large numbers of livestock are also kept in this region. The popular vacation destination Boquete is in the vicinity. David has a tropical climate. The year can be divided into two periods: a rainy and a relatively dry period. During the rainy period during the entire summer precipitation figures are very high. Combined with the heat this causes humidity figures to be high as well. Temperatures below 20 degrees Celsius are uncommon all year round. Because the UV-index is high all year round we advise you to apply sunscreen.
