The climate of Tufi (Papua New Guinea)
Tufi is a popular diving destination in the province of Oro, Papua New Guinea. Tufi is located in the northern part of the island on the Solomon Sea on the peninsula of Cape Nelson. Tufi is one of the most popular diving destinations in Papua New Guinea because the sea is suitable for diving all year round. Several resorts specialized in diving can be found in Tufi. These luxurious resorts offer everything you need for a diving vacation. Tufi has a tropical rainforest climate with high temperatures and high precipitation figures. 7 of the 12 months get more than 200 millimeters of rain. In the period from June till August precipitation figures are slightly lower and rain falls less frequently. Because of the situation of Tufi on the sea a cooling breeze blows here on a regular basis; this is very pleasant in this muggy region.

More climate information
Climate figures are very useful but don’t present a general impression of the climate and the eventual weather circumstances within a certain period. The figures don’t always reflect the chance of wintry weather, extreme heat or hurricanes. That is why we offer useful extra climate information for each month of the year:
