The climate of Saint Gilles les Bains (Réunion)
Saint Gilles les Bains lies in the west of Réunion and is the most
important holiday destination in Réunion, mainly due to the 20
kilometer long lagoon on which the town is situated. This lagoon is
known for its gold-coloured sandy beaches and the bright-blue sea.
This is why the beaches of Saint Gilles les Bains are also very
popular with the local population and therefore it is very busy here
in the holidays and the weekends; one has to be here very early for a
good spot on the beach.
The clear water in this lagoon lends itself excellently to
scuba-diving and deep-sea diving. The climate in Saint Gilles les
