The climate of Castell-Platja d'Aro (Spain)
Platja d’Aro is located in the Castell Platja d’Aro in the northeastern part of Spain in the Gerona province in the autonomous region of Catalonia. Platja d’Aro is situated on the Costa Brava in the vicinity of the city of Gerona. After Lloret de Mar Platja d’Aro is the most popular destination on the Costa Brava. Every year tens of thousands of tourists travel here to enjoy a sun, sea and beach holiday. Along the beach a two kilometer long promenade can be found. Platja d’Aro has a Mediterranean climate strongly influenced by the Mediterranean Sea. Because of this influence extremes in weather are uncommon and temperatures are pleasant, especially during the summer. Average precipitation figures are low, most rain falls during late fall and during the winter. During the summer average daytime temperatures are just below 30 degrees Celsius (86.0 degrees Fahrenheit). During the night temperatures are about 20 degrees Celsius (68.0 degrees Fahrenheit)
