The climate of Dénia (Spain)
Denia is a small town located in the eastern part of Spain on the Mediterranean Sea. The city is situated on the Costa Blanca in the vicinity of the city of Benidorm in the Alicante province. It is an old town; the first remains of civilization date back to the 4th city BC. Many people spend the winter months in Denia because of the pleasant Mediterranean climate with low precipitation figures and pleasant temperatures during the winter. Denia is also a popular destination during the summer. Many hours of sunshine can be recorded during the summer and temperatures are between 24-32 degrees Celsius (75.2-89.6 degrees Fahrenheit) from May till September. From October till May chances of a shower are highest, especially in October precipitation figures may be high. The number of rainy days is still low, but the total amount of precipitation that may fall during one day is much higher.

More climate information
Climate figures are very useful but don’t present a general impression of the climate and the eventual weather circumstances within a certain period. The figures don’t always reflect the chance of wintry weather, extreme heat or hurricanes. That is why we offer useful extra climate information for each month of the year:
