The climate of Murcia (Spain)
Murcia is a large city located in the southeastern part of Spain on the Segura River in the Murcia region of which the city is also the capital. Murcia is among the ten largest cities in Spain. it is a real university city. Two universities can be found here: the university of Murcia and the Universidad Católica San Antonio de Murcia. Murcia is an old city, many old buildings have been well preserved such as the cathedral of Murcia, Monteagudo castle and the Puente de los Peligros. Murcia has a Mediterranean climate strongly influenced by the Mediterranean Sea. Summers are warm with average temperatures just above 30 degrees Celsius (86.0 degrees Fahrenheit). During the night temperatures are around 20 degrees Celsius (68.0 degrees Fahrenheit) on average. During the winter temperatures are lower, especially during the evening and night. In rare cases subzero temperatures may occur. Most precipitation falls during fall.
