The climate of Engelberg (Switzerland)
Engelberg is a municipality in the canton of Obwalden in Switzerland.
It is an exclave surrounded by the cantons of Bern, Nidwalden and Uri.
During the winter about 80 kilometers of skiing tracks can be enjoyed.
During the summer several outdoor activities can be done such as
bicycle rides. From here Lake Trüb is a popular daytrip. Because
Engelberg is located in between the mountains the climate is very
unstable. The weather may change from sunny to rainy and back to sunny
again very rapidly. Summers get a little bit more precipitation than
the rest of the year; winters are cold. Please, bear in mind that the
figures below are for the village; on top of the mountain it may be
much colder.
