The climate of Lucerne (Switzerland)
Lucerne was founded in 840 AD. The city is divided into two parts by
the river Reuss. The presence of the river causes the city to be
rather wet. Most precipitation falls during the summer. Because
Lucerne is situated in a valley winters are mild. Lucerne is a city of
dance, music and song. Several cultural festivals are held here
annually. The city is the economic center of central Switzerland.
