The climate of Lugano (Switzerland)
Lugano is located on Lake Lugano. Because of its southerly situation
on the banks of the lake on the leeward side of the mountains in a
valley Lugano enjoys a very mild climate. Mainly Mediterranean
vegetation grows here which may come to full bloom as soon as
February. This city of arts and architecture is a nice destination
early in the year. In Muso Cantonale d’Arte paintings by Degas and
Renoir can be admired. Traffic is banned from the city center, so you
can go for a pleasant stroll through the city and admire the beautiful
architecture.
