The climate of Montreux (Switzerland)
Montreux is located on Lake Geneva and has a surprisingly mild
climate. Because of its leeward situation in the bay you’d almost
think you are in the Mediterranean when you walk along the banks of
the lake. The mild climate, cypresses and pine trees give you a warm
feeling. This cultural city, mainly known for its jazz festival is a
surprising destination in Switzerland. A beautiful city to visit and a
good starting point to explore the higher regions of Switzerland; the
snowy Alps are in the vicinity.
