The climate of Saas-Fee (Switzerland)
Saas-Fee is a fashionable winter sports destination in Switzerland. A
lot of nostalgia has been preserved in this cozy town. The old
traditional barns can still be admired in the center. All traffic has
been banned from the village. In the vicinity of Saas-Fee 13 mountains
can be found with an altitude of 4000+ meters. Saas-Fee itself is
located at an altitude of 1,803 meters. During the winter temperatures
are around freezing point; on the mountain it may be much colder. The
sun shines regularly in Saas-Fee. During the summer it is very
pleasant to be outdoors; about 350 kilometers of footpaths can be
enjoyed. Other sports activities such as mountain biking, paragliding
and mountaineering can be enjoyed as well. Temperatures are around 20
degrees Celsius on average. Please, bear in mind that the higher you
go the colder it will get, even during summer.
