The climate of Tanga (Tanzania)
Tanga is a large city located in the northeastern part of Tanzania in the Tanga province of which it also is the capital. The city is located in the vicinity of the border with Kenya. The main source of income is agriculture, mainly coffee, tea and cotton are cultivated here. Several tourist attractions can be found in the vicinity of the city such as the caves of Amboni, Saadani National Park and the sandy beaches of Mwarongo. Tanga has a tropical monsoon climate with high precipitation figures all year round. It is only during the first few months of the year that average precipitation figures are slightly lower which also applies to average humidity figures. Temperatures are about 30 degrees Celsius (86.0 degrees Fahrenheit) all year round. The temperature of the sea is pleasantly warm.
