The climate of Mobile (Alabama - United States of America)
Mobile is a large city located in the southwestern part of Alabama, United States of America. The city is located on the Gulf of Mexico and the Mobile River. In the harbor Battleship Memorial Park can be found. Here you can admire the USS Alabama which was used during WWII. The city is one of the longest inhabited places in America and was founded in 1702. Many buildings date back to this period. One of the most beautiful buildings is the cathedral Basilica of the Immaculate Conception.
Mobile has a warm maritime climate. Because Mobile is situated on the Gulf of Mexico temperatures are higher here than in the interior of Alabama. Subzero temperatures are uncommon here. Precipitation figures are slightly higher here than in other regions. About 1,600 millimeters of annual precipitation can be recorded. During the second part of the year there is a risk of tornadoes.

More climate information
Climate figures are very useful but don’t present a general impression of the climate and the eventual weather circumstances within a certain period. The figures don’t always reflect the chance of wintry weather, extreme heat or hurricanes. That is why we offer useful extra climate information for each month of the year:
