The climate of Muscle Shoals (Alabama

Muscle Shoals is a small village located in the northwestern part of
Alabama. However, this small village became famous because of the
Muscle Shoals Sound Studio. During the 1970s many famous artists
recorded their songs here because of the typical sound produced by the
studio. Among these artists were Bob Dylan, The Rolling Stones, Elton
John, Cher, Eric Clapton and Paul Simon. The typical sound was mainly
the result of the Muscle Shoals Sound Rhythm Section.
Muscle Shoals has a warm maritime climate characterized by warm
summers and fairly mild winters. During the winter subzero
temperatures during the night are not uncommon. Precipitation figures
are high, about 1,300 millimeters of annual precipitation can be
recorded. Muscle Shoals is situated in the red zone of Tornado Alley
which means the risk of a tornado is highest here.
