The climate of Wilmington (Delaware - United States of America)
Wilmington is located in the northern part of Delaware where the Christina River flows into the Delaware Bay. Wilmington is the largest city in Delaware and is part of the Philadelphia urban area. The main source of income is small industry. Several credit card companies have their headquarters here.
Wilmington has a moderate maritime climate influenced by the Delaware Bay. Summers are very pleasant. However, during the summer precipitation figures are high. Precipitation figures are high all year round. During the winter precipitation may fall in the form of snow. During the summer the temperature of the water is surprisingly pleasant. Because of its location on the leeward side in the interior extremes in weather are uncommon.
