The climate of Gary (Indiana - United States of America)
Gary is a large city located in the most northwesterly part of the state of Indiana in the vicinity of the border with the state of Illinois. Gary is located on Lake Michigan and is known for its steel industry. During warm days when the wind blows in your direction you can smell the sulfurous fumes. Gary was the birthplace of Michael Jackson who died in 2009 and his brothers and sisters.
Gary has a warm continental climate with cold and bleak winters and pleasantly warm summers. However, during the evening temperatures rapidly drop. During the winter most precipitation falls in the form of snow. Precipitation is quite evenly spread out over the year.
