The climate of Lowell (Massachusetts
- United States of America)
Lowell is located in the northeastern part of Massachusetts in the
vicinity of the border with the state of New Hampshire. The city was
founded along the Merrimack River and its delta. The annual Folk
Festival which is held here is one of the biggest festivals in New
England and attracts more than 200,000 people.
Lowell has a continental climate influenced by the winds that blow
here which give the climate a bleak character. During the winter
snowstorms may be supplied from the sea. Summers are warm. However,
because of the many showers summers are not really pleasant.
