The climate of Worcester (Massachusetts - United States of America)
Worcester is located east of central Massachusetts on the banks of the Blackstone River. Worcester is the second largest city in Massachusetts after Boston. The city is connected with Providence, Rhode Island by the Blackstone Canal. Many well preserved buildings dating back to Victorian times can be found here. These Victorian buildings stand next to modern offices giving it a surreal character.
Worcester has a continental climate. changes in weather occur rapidly because of the interaction of warm and moist air from the southwest, cold and dry air from the north and the influence of the Atlantic Ocean in the east. Summers are warm and wet, winters are cold and windy. During the winter a fair amount of snow falls in Worcester.
