The climate of Jefferson City (Missouri - United States of America)
Jefferson City is the capital of the state of Missouri. Missouri is located centrally in the United States. However, in terms of mentality it is classified as a southern state. Jefferson City is not the largest city in Missouri, St. Louis and Kansas City are both larger. Jefferson City is located centrally in Missouri and was named after one of the former presidents of the United States, Thomas Jefferson. Jefferson city is located on the banks of the Missouri River where wine is produced. Wine can be produced here because of the warm summers in which the sun shines exuberantly.
Jefferson City has a warm continental climate with fairly mild winters with the occasional cold day. When there is a northern current extremely cold air from the Arctic is supplied which causes subzero temperatures, occasionally snowfall and a cold wind. A short spring is followed by a summer of four months in which it is sunny and warm. During the summer precipitation figures gradually decrease.

More climate information
Climate figures are very useful but don’t present a general impression of the climate and the eventual weather circumstances within a certain period. The figures don’t always reflect the chance of wintry weather, extreme heat or hurricanes. That is why we offer useful extra climate information for each month of the year:
