The climate of Saint Louis (Missouri
- United States of America)
Saint Louis is a large city located in the most eastern part of the
state of Missouri on the banks of the Mississippi River. The urban
area is home to almost 3 million people. Saint Louis was host of the
1904 Olympic Games as well as the World Expo. The Saint Louis
Cardinals compete in the Major League Baseball, the Saint Louis Rams
compete in the National Football League and the St Louis Blues compete
in the National Hockey League. All these teams play their home matches
in Saint Louis. Saint Louis has a warm continental climate with warm
to hot summers and winters in which it may get extremely cold. During
the winter it may get especially cold during the night. Precipitation
is quite evenly spread out over the year. During the summer the
combination of high temperatures and high precipitation figures may
cause humidity figures to be high as well. Because Saint Louis is
located in Tornado Alley there is a risk of tornadoes here.

More climate information
Climate figures are very useful but don’t present a general impression
of the climate and the eventual weather circumstances within a certain
period. The figures don’t always reflect the chance of wintry weather,
extreme heat or hurricanes. That is why we offer useful extra climate
information for each month of the year:
