The climate of Niagara Falls (New York - United States of America)
Niagara Falls is located in the southern part of Canada bordering the state of New York in the United States. Niagara Falls is situated on the Niagara River which is the borderline between Niagara Falls and the Niagara waterfalls in the United States. Niagara Falls is one of the largest and best known waterfalls in the world. The waterfalls can be divided into three sections: Horseshoe Falls, American Falls and Bridal Veil Falls. Horseshoe Falls is the largest and is situated in Canada entirely. The two smaller falls are situated in the United States. The waterfalls are an important energy generator. During the evening the falls are lit in a spectacular way.
Niagara Falls has a wet land climate with precipitation evenly spread out over the year. During the winter subzero temperatures are not uncommon. Large amounts of snow can be expected as well. Summers are pleasant without ever getting too warm. Obviously humidity figures are much higher in the vicinity of the Niagara Falls than in the surrounding areas.

More climate information
Climate figures are very useful but don’t present a general impression of the climate and the eventual weather circumstances within a certain period. The figures don’t always reflect the chance of wintry weather, extreme heat or hurricanes. That is why we offer useful extra climate information for each month of the year:
