The climate of Dayton (Ohio
- United States of America)
Dayton is located in the western part of the state of Ohio in the
vicinity of the border with the state of Indiana. Dayton is mainly
known for its aviation museum which is one of the oldest and biggest
aviation museum in the world. Famous WWII bombers such as the Memphis
Belle can be admired here. Several airplanes from every war the United
States participated in can be found here as well as all used Air Force
One planes (the presidential plane). Dayton is one of the cities in
the United States experiencing a sharp decline in population.
Dayton has a warm continental climate characterized by large
differences between summer and winter. Winters may be very cold with
subzero temperatures. Summers are pleasantly warm, occasionally even
hot. Precipitation is quite evenly spread out over the year. During
the first few months of the year there is a risk of tornadoes.
