The climate of Norman (Oklahoma - United States of America)
Norman  is a large city centrally located in the state of Oklahoma. Norman is part of the Oklahoma City Urban Area. The University of Oklahoma was founded here as early as 1890. Throughout the year the university became the largest in Oklahoma. About 30,000 students attend the university, it is also the main source of income for Norman. On the campus Fred Jones Jr. Museum of Art can be found. Here you can admire the works of Van Gogh, Renoir, Degas and Monet.
Norman has a warm maritime climate slightly influenced by the Gulf of Mexico. The western part of Oklahoma has a warm continental climate; where these two climate types change into each other extremes in weather are not uncommon. Precipitation figures are highest during the first few months of the year. During this period humidity figures are high as well.

More climate information
Climate figures are very useful but don’t present a general impression of the climate and the eventual weather circumstances within a certain period. The figures don’t always reflect the chance of wintry weather, extreme heat or hurricanes. That is why we offer useful extra climate information for each month of the year:
