- United States of America)
Chattanooga is located in the southeastern part of the state of
Tennessee. The city is located on the border with the state of
Georgia. The city is located southeast from both Lake Chickamauga and
Lake Nickajack which are both part of the Tennessee River. Chattanooga
is located west from the Appalachians. Tennessee Aquarium can be found
in the city. This is one of the biggest Aquariums in the world. The
building itself is well worth visiting. Hunter Museum of American Art
can be found in the city as well. This museum has a beautiful new
wing. Chattanooga has a warm maritime climate slightly influenced by
the Gulf of Mexico. Because of this extremes in weather are uncommon
in Chattanooga. However, subzero temperatures and extreme heat may
occur. Chattanooga gets more than 1,000 millimeters of annual

More climate information
Climate figures are very useful but don’t present a general impression
of the climate and the eventual weather circumstances within a certain
period. The figures don’t always reflect the chance of wintry weather,
extreme heat or hurricanes. That is why we offer useful extra climate
information for each month of the year:
