The climate of San Angelo (Texas - United States of America)
San Angelo is a large city located centrally in the western part of the state of Texas in Tom Green County. San Angelo is located at the edge of the Chihuahua desert and the Edwards Plateau on the banks of the Concho River. Fort Concho is a Historic Landmark and is maintained by the city of San Antonio. Angelo State University is located in the city. San Angelo State Park is located just outside the city. San Angelo has a warm steppe climate. There are large differences in temperatures between the seasons. During the coldest winter months subzero temperatures during the night are not uncommon. Summers are very warm with average temperatures far above 30 degrees Celsius (86 degrees Fahrenheit). San Angelo is located in Tornado Alley. Please bear this in mind during tornado season.
